Hi! My name is Caitlin Trezise, and I am a Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. I have previously worked in an elementary school setting with children dealing with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma.
My viewpoint of therapy is that life hands us many challenges, some may feel like tall mountains and some may feel more like small hills. As a clinician I feel that my job has two parts, one is to share “climbing gear” (coping skills) with you as you navigate these challenges, and the other is to make sure you have someone by your side supporting you as you “climb”. I am grateful to be a part of all of my clients’ journeys and hope to provide a warm and welcoming space for everyone that steps foot in my office.
Counseling Approach
My therapeutic approach comes from a trauma-informed background and I like to utilize skills from arts therapy, music therapy, mindfulness, strengths based, and family systems theories in my practice. I am passionate about making my practice a safe space for all clients and their families, and I love to work together as a team to figure out what approaches and tools work best for each individual.
Education & Experience
I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2020 with my masters in Social Work. From there I worked for the Palm Beach County School District with children and families providing individual counseling, small group counseling, peer mediation, classroom instruction, and connecting families to outside agencies for additional services.
In my free time I love to spend time participating in/supporting the arts, playing music, cooking, and spending time with my family.
If you would like to schedule an initial assessment with me, call (616) 499-4711 or click the “Schedule with Caitlin” button below; I’d be happy to meet with you and help explore next steps.
